1. Dairy products are good for you: False.
Dairy
products can cause you to lose calcium from your bones. In addition to
causing a lot of health problems such as allergies, inflammation, and
digestive disorders, cow’s milk and its derivatives can actually cause
your bones to lose calcium.
2. Brown rice is more nutritious than white rice: False
White
rice is clean. It has no bran. The bran in brown rice contains an
anti-nutrient called phytic acid that binds to the minerals in your body
and leaches them out.
The
phytic acid in brown rice is found in the bran. White rice doesn’t have
it. The only other thing the bran is good for is fiber, but maybe you
are already getting your fiber from another source, and you should not
eat fiber in excess. In addition, the germ is filled with
easily-oxidized polyunsaturated fatty acids which are not very good for
you. White rice does not have this problem.
3. Soy products are good for you: False
Soy
also contains the anti-nutrient phytic acid, which can cause a host of
problems in your body. Soy can reduce assimilation of important minerals
and vitamins such as vitamins D and B12. In addition, excessive
consumption of soy products can cause hormonal problems such as
diminished sex drive due to low testosterone levels in your system.
